| Anyone who has ever seen the Indigo Girls live knows that this is, in fact, a bad recording. The Indigo Girls are amazingly talented. I've seen them live dozens of times and neither of them have ever sang anything less than stellar...there was no slurring, etc. They are both simply amazing. |

Yes, I know, its a bad trait, but how else was I going to get you to listen to the CD track? So, I expect a full review as soon as possible! Oh, and something to add, what if she was a little tipsy? What if she just got so nervous she had a few shots? Although this notion might be slightly ridiculous and unprofessional, you have to survey all the possibilities... and overlook others... |

| Ok, I finally did it. I listened to it! Sorry, but I just can't bring myself to like it, I did try though. I will go so far as to say it is better than this version, but without being rude, that's a bit like saying that Mussolini was better than Hitler. In fairness, she can sing, but the arrangement is crappy. She kills it every time she drops the guitar. Shame.
The music on the Dire Straits version better suits the mood of the song; (your turn :) listen to Knopflers guitar playing! |
